Convenience Retail Community Forms the Backbone of Lottery Distribution Across the Midwest.
CHICAGO, April 22, 2026 – Leading lottery operator, supplier, and business partner Allwyn recently brought its Formula 1 partnership to life at the M-PACT Fuel and Convenience Tradeshow in Indiana, where a McLaren Mastercard Formula 1® Team Showcar delivered some of the excitement of the grand prix to the tradeshow floor.
The three-day event drew more than 3,000 fuel and convenience professionals from across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and the broader Midwest, who came to explore the latest products, services and technologies being showcased.
The replica showcar — an exact-specification McLaren MCL38 — is a physical expression of Allwyn’s global partnership with the McLaren Mastercard F1 Team, one of the most iconic brands in international motorsport. The partnership reflects Allwyn’s broader identity as a company that combines world-class technology, international scale, and a commitment to delivering exciting experiences — values that inform its approach to lottery operations and retail partnerships alike.
“Win belief and the power of anticipation, hope, and possibility underpin both Allwyn’s partnership with the McLaren Mastercard F1 Team and the lottery industry,” said Allwyn Interim Chief Executive Officer, Keith Horton. “It’s what enables U.S. lotteries to generate more than $28 billion in annual funding to support local good causes.”

Allwyn is a member of event host Illinois Fuel and Retail Association (IFRA) and a returning participant at M-PACT, reflecting the company’s long-standing commitment to the independent fuel and convenience retail community that forms the backbone of lottery distribution across the Midwest.
“The fuel and convenience retail channel is critically important to the lottery industry, and we see real opportunity to grow together in the digital space,” said Allwyn’s Director of Strategic Initiatives, Mitch Robinson. “Allwyn’s RelayTM technology enables retailers to integrate and sell lottery within their own apps and websites—creating a meaningful new revenue and engagement channel. That’s a win for retailers, for lotteries, and for players.”
Relay is Allwyn’s proprietary digital integration platform that enables iLottery to be sold seamlessly through third-party retailer apps and websites — meeting shoppers where they already are when buying groceries or convenience goods online. Relay is designed with the flexibility to accommodate varying levels of technical capabilities among lottery retailers with multiple integration options. This creates new revenue streams for retailers while expanding player convenience— complementing rather than cannibalizing traditional retail networks.
